Darrow <br />Deputy Director <br />Chair Young called the Kona Community Development Plan (KCDP) Action Committee (AC) to order at <br />4:06 p.m. Due to restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic, this meeting was held via the Zoom <br />interactive video platform. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Action Committee Members Present: Maris Bankston, Shirley David, David Huerta, Kari Kimura, <br />Roselyn Molina, Janice Palma-Glennie, Charles Young, Franz Weber, <br />Action Committee Members Absent -Excused: Shane Palacat-Nelson <br />County Staff: Planners - Rob Leasure, Keiko Mercado, Kamuela Plunkett, Planning Director Zendo Zern; <br />Corporation Counsel —Jean Campbell <br />Members of the public: Members of the public observed the meeting via the YouTube Livestream. The <br />livestream is available at Kona CDP AC Meeting - March 2021 - YouTube. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: Mr. Plunkett recommended that the business items be re -sequenced: 1) <br />Review of AC Community Network Maps; 2) Alii Parkway Investigatory Subcommittee; 3) Election of <br />AC Officers. In addition, Mr. Plunkett indicated that Lamaku Mikahala Roy had requested to provide <br />testimony on the Ali'i Parkway matter and the approval of minutes from the October 15, 2019, <br />meeting, which he suggested should be given during the Ali'i Parkway topic. <br />Vice -Chair David made the motion to follow the recommendation, Committee Member Weber <br />seconded, and the motion passed with 8 votes aye and 0 votes nay. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. Chair Young expressed his appreciation for Committee Members Barbara DeFranco and Hiram <br />Rivera, who have vacated their positions on the Action Committee since the last AC meeting. <br />2. Committee Members Bankston and Molina shared introductory comments about themselves <br />with the other committee members. <br />a. Committee Member Bankston shared that they grew up in Hawai'i and California, and <br />that she is eager to begin working with the AC, utilizing the professional skills that she <br />has developed. <br />Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer Page 1 <br />
