Hawaii Police Commission <br />Meeting Agenda <br />June 18, 2021 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />CHAIR'S REPORT ON MATTERS OF INTEREST TO THE COMMISSION <br />• Community relations <br /> <br />(CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC) <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />The commission will meet in executive session to consider charges against officers or <br />employees of the police department where matters affecting privacy will be involved, to <br />consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, and may consult with Corporation <br />Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, <br />immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawaii County <br />Charter Section 13-20 (b). <br />CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF COMPLAINTS (Briefly summarized.) <br />• Complaint HPC 21-13: Complainant was arrested for disorderly conduct. He <br />complained of his treatment during his arrest. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-14: Complainant was arrested for disorderly conduct. He <br />complained of his treatment during his arrest. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-15: Complainant was arrested for disorderly conduct. He <br />complained of his treatment during his arrest. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-16: Complainant was arrested for disorderly conduct. He <br />complained of his treatment during his arrest. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-18: Complainant complained about the manner in which an officer <br />spoke to her during a traffic stop. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-19: Complainant alleged that an officer harassed him and a friend <br />in the parking lot of a local bar. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-25/26: Complainant complained about how the police handled the <br />situation when they were called by a grocery store because she was not wearing a face <br />mask. <br />• Complaint HPC 21-29: Complainant alleged that she called police dispatch and no <br />officer showed up. She also alleged that an officer did not read the perpetrator his <br />rights. <br />0 Complaint HPC 21-30: Complainant alleged that officers did not return her calls. <br />
