The bill contains many of the standard elements of successful programs, <br /> <br />Jennifer Holliday <br /> <br />including producer responsibility organizations (PROs), a stewardship <br />Chittenden Solid Waste District, VT <br /> <br />plan, PRO fees that incentivize environmental performance, annual reporting, <br /> <br />Kate Kitchener <br /> performance targets, and accommodations for small producers. The bill assigns <br />NY City Dept. of Sanitation <br />full responsibility for the program to producers while allowing counties the <br /> <br /> <br />Cathy Jamieson <br />flexibility to collect materials if they choose. The bill also covers the cost of state <br /> <br />VT Dept. of Environmental <br />oversight and enforcement of the program. <br /> <br />Conservation <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Andrew Radin <br />Based on two decades of rigorous research and practice, the Product <br /> <br />Onondaga County Resource <br />Stewardship Institute (PSI) believes that HB 1316 is critical to save Hawaii <br /> <br />Recovery Agency, NY <br />residents millions of dollars in waste recycling and disposal costs while <br /> <br /> <br />Joe Rotella <br />dramatically increasing access to recycling across the state and relieving <br /> <br />RI Resource Recovery Corporation <br />counties of the significant financial burdens that they currently face in operating <br /> <br /> <br />recycling programs.
