Update on Shoreline Setback Project: Planning Department staff will give a brief update <br /> on the progress of the Shoreline Setback Project. <br /> 2. Presentation by Dennis Flemming, Hamakua Institute: Dennis Flemming, Executive <br /> Director of the Hamakua Institute, will provide an overview of recent analysis of the <br /> island's agricultural market system and describe efforts being taken to develop more <br /> opportunities for Hamakua farmers. He will outline what the Hamakua Institute is doing <br /> to support public-private collaboration for agricultural development on the island, <br /> explaining the institute's model for facilitating collective action and how that can apply <br /> to the Hamakua CDP. <br /> 3. Presentation by Lehua Village Partners, LLC- Proposed 40-Lot Subdivision in Honoka`a: <br /> Project representatives and consultants to present project concept to encourage <br /> discussion regarding this proposed 40-lot planned unit development subdivision that <br /> will also incorporate 20 affordable lots. The project sites consist of two 7+acre <br /> properties separated by Lehua Street and bordered by Honoka'a Park on the makai side, <br /> Mamalahoa Highway on the mauka side, and Tex Drive-In to the west (Waimea-side). <br /> 4. Island-wide Action Committee Member Initiatives: Action Committee members will <br /> discuss and consider taking action on topics discussed at the August 12, 2021 Joint AC <br /> meeting. The Action Committee may consider establishing investigatory subcommittees <br /> relative to specific initiatives that advance CDP implementation with the potential to <br /> establish working groups with members of other Action Committees. <br /> 5. Implementation Updates from Action Committee Members: Council Member Heather <br /> Kimball, members of the Action Committee, and members of community working <br /> groups will provide updates on their work relative to CDP Implementation. The Action <br /> Committee may consider establishing investigatory subcommittees relative to specific <br /> initiatives that advance CDP implementation.
