HCHA meeting <br />November 5, 2020 <br />Lee Loy: Great, thank you Duane always such good work coming out of the <br />housing department. Chair I yield. <br />Eoff: Ms. David. <br />David: Thank you ... I just have one ... I'm sorry, I just have one question for <br />Administrator Hosaka and want to thank Ms. Lee Loy for the question. The five <br />year term that we can utilize this funding, within that five years, Mr. Hosaka, are <br />we precluded from seeking grants in the interim? Or do you have to wait to <br />expend, like even if you said you wanted to expend it within in a year, would <br />that preclude us from or the agency from seeking other grants within the period <br />of time? Do you have to use it up is what I'm asking before you apply for new <br />ones? <br />Hosaka: We don't have to wait to apply for any new monies or especially if the <br />federal government were to possible give a ... the forth tranches or the forth <br />allocation of monies but again we want to spend the money as quickly as <br />possible to get it out to the public. <br />David: Okay great and I appreciate that because I think efforts in just your <br />priority in doing that, getting it out as fast as you can to the public is very <br />grateful ... I'm grateful for that and thank you for all that you folks do to help our <br />people because like Ms. Lee Loy stated there's going to be a lot more people <br />that fall within that category and that will need help so that you very much <br />aloha inaudible. <br />Eoff: Thank you Ms. David. The approval of ... item b, the Approval of the County of Hawai'i Community <br />Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan and Grant <br />Agreement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development.
