I'll be presenting the application for Kona Aerial Gymnastic, <br /> and I'm going to share, start by sharing my screen, so let me get that established here. Okay, can <br /> everybody see the introduction screen here? <br /> VITOUSEK: Yeah. <br /> ANDREWS: Great. So, as stated, this is a Special Permit application for Kona Aerial <br /> Gymnastic Team Inc. <br /> Okay, here is the location map. You can see the subject property in red. It is just mauka of <br /> Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway in the North Kona District. <br /> The applicant is requesting a Special Permit to legitimize the operation of a youth gymnastic and <br /> sports fitness facility and related improvements on a 2.3-acre portion of a 23.8-acre parcel <br /> located in the State Land Use Agricultural District; also, requesting to convert the existing <br /> 12,600-square foot warehouse by obtaining all necessary permits for the proposed use; to <br /> construct 38 parking stalls including to ADA stalls; to provide access to the permit area by a <br /> 12-to 15-foot wide, 1,000-foot long gravel driveway; and to operate the youth gymnastics <br /> facility Monday through Friday, 2:00 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the <br /> sports facility will operate Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, <br /> 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; summer programs will operate during summer school breaks from May <br /> to August, with gymnastics classes held Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., <br /> and Tuesday, Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and that is as proposed by the applicant. <br /> So this is the zoning map, and what you are seeing is the subject parcel outlined in red and the <br /> zoning of the parcel and the surrounding area. A-la is Agricultural-1 acre, and that's the subject <br /> property, and some nearby darker green is that zoning. Also nearby to the, on the lower part of <br /> your screen there is RS-10, which is Residential Single-Family-10 acre [sic], there is RS-7.5 <br /> Residential Single-Family and RS-15 also Residential Single-Family zoning. And opposite on <br /> the makai side of the highway there is Agricultural-5, there is Residential Multi-Family zoning, <br /> and there is some RS-7.5, which is also Residential Single-Family. So there is quite a varied <br /> amount of zoning in the surrounding area. <br /> State Land Use is Agricultural. As you can see, everything in green is Agricultural, and nearby <br /> is also Urban zoning to the, to the south and to the west of the property. <br /> The property according to the General Plan LUPAG Map, which is the land use designation, this <br /> is designated Urban Expansion, and just mauka of the property is Important Agricultural Lands <br /> and to the west of the property is MDU, or Medium Density Urban. <br /> So this is the site plan as proposed by the applicant.
