If the Kumu Hou project is approved, there will still be 27 holes of golf <br /> operated within the WBR, therefore the Director is recommending a condition requiring <br /> compliance with State Department of Health guidelines related to Golf Course operations <br /> in Hawaii for the remaining golf facilities. <br /> Based upon the preceding findings, the proposed amendments are consistent with the <br /> objectives and policies of Chapter 205A, HRS. The Planning Director recommends that the <br /> Planning Commission approve the applicant's request to withdraw three (3) non- <br /> contiguous land areas identified as "Area A", "Area B", and"Area C" comprising the <br /> proposed Kumu Hou at Waikoloa project totaling approximately 182.9 acres from the land <br /> area covered under SMA 25, and the Planning Director recommended amendments to <br /> delete the development of two (2) golf courses and their related conditions within the WBR. <br /> Please note, in addition to the applicant's proposed amendment and the Director's golf course <br /> related amendments, the Director is recommending the deletion of completed conditions of <br /> approval and modification of other conditions to current standard condition language and to <br /> ensure compliance with the implementation of certain conditions. <br /> Approval of these amendment requests are subject to the following conditions (material <br /> to be deleted is bracketed and struck-through; new material is underscored): <br /> 1.
