<br />COMMUNICATION 041 <br /> <br /> <br />Redistricting Commission <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Aloha, <br />I would like to address the seemingly arbitrary redistricting of Council 5, where <br />the new line is drawn at the boundary between Fern Acres and Kopua Farm lots. <br />is <br />punitive andbackwards thinking! <br />its population using (for the most part) Mountain View or Kurtistown Post Offices. <br />The children attend schools in what is now considered District 5, shopping is <br />located there, the Public Library,as aremedical servicesand so much more. <br />Additionally, social services meant to care for our greater Upper Puna <br />Community serve this corridor. <br />Why would you have their representationand funding interestslocated a hundred <br />miles away?
