0 <br />"Special h,an,dling materials" means tree stumps, root balls, telephone poles, pilings, <br />cables, barbed wire, dead animals, seafood, and slaughter house waste, asbestos, <br />contaminated soil, can�ec material, biosolids, FOG (fats, oils and grease, treated medical waste, <br />document destruction, and other materials the department determines to require special <br />handing. <br />"Storage" means, the holding of derelict or abandon�ed vehicles for a temporary period. <br />"SWD" means the solid waiste division of the d�eparitmient of environmenilt4 <br />"SWD facility" means the County or contractor facility for the management of materials <br />that ins legally permitted to accept pursuant to state law. <br />"Transfer station" means a permanent, fixed, supplemental collection and <br />transportation facility, used to deposit self -hauled houllsehold materials into a larger transfer <br />container for transport to a SWD facility. <br />"Undue hardshipi' means situations unique to thle food proders or County fac,ility user <br />that generally do not apply to other persons in similar circumstances. <br />"Vehicle processing facility" means a facility permitted to operate a metals processing <br />and recycling business that processes and/or stores and ships vehicles, metals and associated <br />items. <br />"Weight ticket" means a printed invoice issued by a SW D weighmaster for a specific load <br />weighed on a certified scale. Also known as a scale ticket. <br />Disposal Permit for San'Itary Landfilli and Reload Facility <br />(a) No business, government agency, reli�gious entity or noinprofit organizaitioin <br />shall dispe at any sanitary laindf'ill or reload facility without firsl <br />obtaining a d�isposal permit is,sued by thie director alind making payment of the <br />permit fee as required herein. <br />(b) Application. An application for a disposal permit shall be submitted to the <br />director on a form furnished by the department.
