Roth, Mayor <br />Consultant (if applicable): PBR HAWAII & Associates, Inc. <br />Direct Comments to: Catie Cullison, PBR HAWAII & Associates, Inc. <br />Project Location: <br />The project is located at Tax Map Key (TMK) (3) 2-4-057:030, and access easements at Ululani <br />Street granted to EAH Housing on portions of TMK: (3) 2-4-057:031, Waiakea Ahupua`a, South <br />Hilo District, Island of Hawaii. <br />Description of the Proposed Project [24 CFR 50.12 & 58.32; 40 CFR 1508.25]: <br />The County of Hawai `i Office of Housing and Urban Development has set aside project -based vouchers by <br />the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for qualifying residential <br />households at or below 50% Area Median Income (AMI). The West Kawili Street Senior/Veteran Housing, <br />an affordable senior housing development proposed by EAH Inc. (doing business as EAH Housing), will <br />serve households at or below 30-80% AMI, with preference given to veterans and spouses of deceased <br />veterans. Seniors are defined as individuals 62 years of age or above, and households whose head, cohead, <br />spouse, or sole member meets this definition. The environmental review responsibility is conferred by HUD <br />to the County of Hawai `i Office of Housing and Community Development. <br />
