Violations and Penalties <br />Pursuant to HRS Section 127A-29, and HRS Chapter 291 D, any person violating <br />this Rule shall be guilty of an emergency period infraction, as defined in HRS Section <br />291 D-2, and fined $250.00 for each violation. Any person violating mandatory <br />quarantine/isolation requirements shall be guilty of an emergency period infraction, as <br />defined in HRS Section 291 D-2, and fined $500.00 for each violation. <br />Nothing contained in this section shall modify the criminal penalties for violating <br />transpacific travel or quarantine rules set forth in the Governor's Proclamation as may <br />be amended. Should the penalty provisions relating to quarantine violations be <br />adjudged inconsistent with the Governor's Proclamation, the Governor's Proclamation <br />shall govern. <br />Additionally, it shall be a petty misdemeanor for any person to intentionally and/or <br />knowingly fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of any law <br />enforcement officer, to and including failing to provide the person's name and address, <br />or any proof thereof, or both, as requested in the course and scope of the law <br />enforcement officer's duties under this Rule. <br />I. This Rule shall take effect immediately and shall continue through March <br />26, 2022, unless extended, rescinded, superseded, or amended by my subsequent <br />order, or as otherwise provided by law. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of <br />the County of Hawai'i to be affixed.
