According to the DOH Wastewater Division,the location of the existing IWS(s)may not meet the provisions of Hawaii Administrative Rule Chapter 11-62 regarding the setbacks from the (proposed new) property line based on the current subdivision layout. In response,the applicant provided more specific evidence that the proposed subdivision would meet the minimum required five (5) foot setback from the proposed property line to the IWS tank and absorption bed. 26. Solid Waste: There are no municipal waste collection services in the County. According to the applicant, solid waste will be handled through commercial haulers or the individual homeowners into authorized landfill sites or transfer stations. 27. Essential Utilities and Services: All essential utilities are available to the property. The closest police, fire and medical facilities are located nearby in Waimea. AGENCIES' COMMENTS 28.
