responded to this request by letter dated July 30, 2012 and respectfully declined to accept the <br /> existing and future funds for the subject intersection improvements. Instead, the DOT requested <br /> that the County establish a working group consisting of the Planning Department, DPW, and <br /> DOT to evaluate the options available to improve traffic safety using the funds collected by the <br /> County for improvements to the intersection. (Planning Department Exhibit 5a) To date this <br /> group has not been formed. Finally, the current fair share fund balance for the intersection <br /> improvements is $677,880.42. <br /> -2- <br />
