Mizuno <br /> Pahala, Kau, Hawaii TMK: (3) 9-6-008: 067 <br /> Transmitted here within for your review and processing is an application requesting a <br /> Special Permit for the above referenced applicant for the temporary operation of an array of <br /> satellite dishes to conduct research on Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs). The subject site is located <br /> at 96-1048 Center Road in the Wood Valley Homestead Lots in Pahala, Ka`u. North Road <br /> intersects with the northern portion of the subject parcel with Center Road on the west. <br /> Highway 11 is located roughly 3 miles to the south. The subject parcel totals 21.80 acres <br /> zoned Agriculture 20-acre (A-20a). The Special Permit request is for 5 acres. <br /> The transmittal includes: a)the completed application form; b)letters of authorization <br /> allowing my office to file the application on the applicant and landowners' behalf, c) a list <br /> of surrounding property owners within five hundred (500) feet of the subject parcel; d) a <br /> printout from the Hawaii County Real Property Tax Office showing that the property taxes <br /> are current; and e)the background/environmental report, which includes the location and <br /> proposed site plan.
