County Zoning: Agricultural-20 acres minimum lot size (A-20a1 <br /> The Agricultural (A) zoning district provides for agricultural and very low density <br /> agriculturally-based residential use, encompassing rural areas of good to marginal <br /> agricultural and grazing land, forest land, game habitats, and areas where urbanization <br /> is not found to be appropriate. See Figure 5 —Zoning. <br /> 4. General Plan Designation: Important Agricultural Lands <br /> The County of Hawai'i General Plan is the policy document for the long-range <br /> comprehensive development of the island of Hawai'i. The General Plan Land Use <br /> Pattern Allocation Guide (LUPAG) map, as shown on Figure 6—General Plan LUPAG <br /> Map, classifies the Project Site as Important Agricultural Lands, and describes these <br /> lands as those with better potential for sustained high agricultural yields because of soil <br /> type, climate, topography, or other factors. <br /> However, the General Plan also notes that, "Because of the scale of the Land use Pattern <br /> Allocation Guide maps used to designate Important Agricultural Land, the location of <br /> these lands should be verified by more detailed mapping when considering specific land <br /> use decisions." <br /> ` t <br /> u <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> A <br /> �F <br /> Figure 4—State Land Use <br /> 5 Page <br />
