REVENUE GENERATION <br />FORMATION OF PERMITTED INTERACTION GROUP (PIG) <br />a. Pursuant to HRS § 92-2.5(b), as amended, the formation of a Permitted Interaction Group <br />to gather information, investigate, and make recommendations to the full Commission <br />regarding the following matters: <br />i. Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources (PONC) Expenditures: <br />Explore the process for how new land is acquired and maintained; explore if <br />budgeting is appropriate for the acquisition and maintenance of such properties; <br />confirm the timely release of funds; confirm staffing is appropriate and <br />sufficient; explore the process for vetting and selecting PONC stewards; explore <br />whether PONC properties could generate revenue for the county in terms of <br />access fees or permits for outdoor recreation <br />b. Selection of permitted interaction group members. <br />c. Determination of the scope of investigation and the scope of each permitted interaction <br />group members' authority <br />9. DISCUSSION ON ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON NEXT AGENDA <br />10. ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />The next meeting of the Cost of Government Commission will be held on Thursday, July 28, <br />2022, at 2 p.m. by interactive video call via Zoom with in -person locations available for public <br />access. <br />11. ADJOURNMENT <br />Submitting Testimony: Those wishing to testify in person must register with the Commission <br />Secretary at the meeting. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring ten (10) copies <br />for distribution. Please submit <br />separate testimony for each item.
