Welcome to the third public hearing for the Hawaii <br /> County Redistricting Commission. Today is Monday, October 18th. My name is James <br /> Hustace and I am the Vice-Chair of the Redistricting Commission. I will just read a brief <br /> announcement here. Because of the Coronavirus Emergency and State and Federal <br /> guidance on large meetings or gatherings, and pursuant to the Mayor's Proclamations <br /> regarding COVID-19, the Redistricting Commission meetings are currently not open to <br /> the public to the extent that we wish. Until further notice, members of the public may <br /> view or provide oral testimony via the Zoom platform by requesting this information as <br /> noted in our agendas or reaching out to the Commission via email. So, thank you for <br /> understanding. I will call this public hearing meeting to order. It is 6:03 in the evening. <br /> STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br /> HUSTACE: This evening, as I mentioned, is our third public hearing. Our satellite this <br /> evening is set up in Council District 3 at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course. We will wait <br /> this evening online till about 6:30 to see if attendees from the public will join us either <br /> online or at the Hilo Muni Golf Course. So I appreciate the patience of the <br /> Commissioners joining us this evening. We do have a couple of the Commissioners on <br /> the call and some at the site as well. And we look forward to the input from the <br /> community. So thank you for joining us, Commissioners, and we will wait patiently to <br /> see if we have guests joining us.
