§13-60.4-3 <br />"Total length" means the length of a fish <br />measured from the tip of the snout to the tip of the <br />longer lobe of the caudal (tail) fin. The length <br />measurement shall be a straight-line measure, not <br />measured over the curvature of the body of the fish. <br />"White list" means a list of species of marine <br />life that may be taken for aquarium purposes. While <br />within the West Hawai'i regional fishery management <br />area, no person shall: <br />(1) Take, kill, possess, sell, or offer for <br />sale, any specimen of the following species: <br />Aetobatus narinari (spotted eagle ray), <br />Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos (gray reef <br />shark), Carcharhinus melanopterus (blacktip <br />reef shark), Cassis cornuta (horned helmet), <br />Charonia tritonis (Triton's trumpet), <br />Dasyatis hawaiiensis (Hawaiian stingray), <br />Dasyatis lata (broad stingray), <br />Pteroplatytrygon violacea (pelagic <br />stingray), Galeocerdo cuvier (tiger shark), <br />Rhincodon typus (whale shark), or Triaenodon <br />obesus (whitetip reef shark); <br />(2) Possess more than five Zebrasoma flavescens <br />(yellow tang) larger than 4.5 inches in <br />total length, or possess more than five <br />Zebrasoma flavescens smaller than two inches <br />in total length; <br />(3) Possess aquarium collecting gear, or take or <br />possess any specimen of aquatic life for <br />aquarium purposes: <br />(A) Between sunset and sunrise, provided <br />that collecting gear or collected <br />aquatic life may be possessed after <br />sunset or before sunrise if <br />notification by phone is made to the <br />60.4-10 <br />
