The pumping unit <br />is housed in a 20” well casing, which is approximately 1,754 feet deep. The pump bowl diameter is 11-1/8” and the pump is <br />approximately 17 feet long. The motor is a 4- Pole, 700 horsepower, 4,160-volt submersible motor. The motor diameter is 11” <br />and it is approximately 17 feet long. <br /> <br />Prior History, <br />Designed and built in June 2006, Wai'aha Deepwell has undergone repair one (1) time prior to this current repair. <br /> <br />Current Repair Status, <br />Contractor for this repair is Derrick’s Drilling and Pump Services, LLC. The contractor is scheduled to mobilize to well site and <br />begin the removal of the pump and motor from the well early February 2018. If removal is successful, the well will need to be <br />inspected for any damages. The pump, motor, column pipe, and power cable will need to be replaced to prevent an unknown <br />weakened component causing a failure in the future. At this time, the schedule for this well repair is unknown. <br /> <br />Conservation Information, <br />A Water Conservation Notice requests that customers voluntarily reduce their water consumption by 10%. The Water Conservation <br />Notice can be found on our website, www.hawaiidws.org.
