It's probably with the association documents, you know, <br /> their evacuation plan. Is that what you are asking? <br /> KNOWLES: Yeah, I think, quite frankly, I think it would be helpful for us to have a sense that <br /> there is some plan in the subdivision. <br /> DEFRANCO: So when, we can only ask questions, right? <br /> VITOUSEK: Yes. <br /> DEFRANCO: We can't talk amongst each other yet. Then I have to wait. <br /> VITOUSEK: Okay. <br /> DEFRANCO: Maybe as being there, as being residents there, or development there, having your <br /> home there, you could explain to everybody here that maybe isn't aware of the roadway in the <br /> way it connects to the other roadway, so you can explain to everybody here how you would <br /> evacuate and how few homes are actually there. I mean what you would see if there was an <br /> evacuation from where you are. <br /> NICHOLSON: Besides for vehicular access in evacuation, foot traffic you could just walk <br /> straight across into the Old Airport, and so there is only one road coming into a gate, which is <br /> separated Kamakahonu Beach and then there is the estate that stays there, the old Thurston <br /> estate, and right there is where the gate is, and that's the only access to the parcel for vehicles. <br /> So that would be in between the Jiffy Lube or whatever that's on that corner and the old West <br /> Hawaii, or the West Hawaii newspaper. <br /> DEFRANCO: Yeah, and so, that road goes straight up to the highway. Is that right? <br /> NICHOLSON: It does, it goes straight up to the Queen K. <br /> KNOWLES: I don't live in Kona, so <br /> NICHOLSON: Oh <br /> KNOWLES: you know, I'm not familiar. We are, we represent the whole west side, so. <br /> DEFRANCO: So what I was just trying to make clear is that evacuation in that particular area <br /> doesn't connect with any other subdivisions. It isn't like there would be a congestion right there <br /> going through your gate to get to the highways.
