(SSV 05-001)The Commission took this item up at 10:30 a.m. with <br />KAILUA KONAapproximately 5 people from the public in attendance. <br />VILLAGE <br />DEVELOPMENT GROUP, <br />KAILUA VILLAGE, <br />KAILUA-KONA <br />APPLICANT: KAILUA KONA VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT GROUP (SSV 05-001) <br />Continuation of a hearing on theapplication for a Shoreline Setback Variance to allow the <br />construction of an outdoor seating lanai to the existing restaurant proposed within the 40-foot <br />shoreline setback area. The property is the site of the existing Kona Inn Shopping Village, Kailua <br />Village, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-5-7:21. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT E) <br />(USE 05-001)The Commission took this item up at 10:50 a.m. with <br />PARKER SCHOOLapproximately 2 people from the public in attendance. <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />WAIMEA, <br />SOUTH KOHALA <br />APPLICANT: PARKER SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS (USE 05-001) <br />Discussion and action on the Hearing Officers report on a Use Permit to allow the establishment <br />of an elementary school on 2.635 acres of land zoned Agricultural 1-acre (A-1a) and situated <br />within the State Land Use Urban district. The property is located along the southeast side of <br />Kapiolani Road, approximately 550 feet east of the Kapiolani Road-Lindsey Road intersection, <br />Waimea, South Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: 6-5-4: portion of 25. <br />Mr. Hayashi told the Commission that the applicants representative Mr. Vitousek has submitted <br />a letter dated October 17 which was circulated to the Commissioners requesting the hearing be <br />th <br />continued to the November 18 meeting since he had a prior commitment and is out of town. <br />Mr. Hayashi stated that the Intervenors attorney Mr. Allen Wooddell was contacted and agreed <br />with the continuance therefore the Planning Department is recommending that this be continued. <br />There was no one from the public to testify on this matter. <br />ItwasmovedbyCommissionerAlamedaandsecondedbyCommissionerMcCallthatParker <br />School Board of Directors application USE 05-001 be continued as requested by the applicant to <br />th <br />thenextKonameetingonNovember18.
