Agricultural (RA), Family Agricultural (FA), Agricultural (A) and Intensive Agricultural (IA) <br />zoned districts. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT C) <br />The Commission took the following item up at 12:40 p.m. with one person from the public in <br />attendance: <br />INITIATOR: COUNTY COUNCIL <br />Amendment to Chapter 25, Article 2, Division 4, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as <br />amended) relating to concurrency standards for parks and recreational facilities and firefighting <br />facilities in change of zone actions. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT D) <br />MINUTES - At 12:41 p.m., the Commission took up the minutes of October 2, 2009. It was <br />moved by Commissioner Kern and seconded by Commissioner Ishibashi that the minutes be <br />approved. Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE The following was discussed under administrative matters: <br />MATTERS <br />INITIATOR: PLANNING DIRECTOR - <br />Amendment to Chapter 25, Hawaii County Code <br />1983 (2005 Edition, as amended) by requiring a Use Permit for telecommunication antennas and <br />towers situated within the Residential and Agricultural (RA), Family Agricultural (FA), <br />Agricultural (A) and Intensive Agricultural (IA) zoned districts. Upon Commissioner Kern’s <br />inquiry, Director Leithead Todd suggested individual Commission Members send their <br />suggestions to the Council, such as a setback requirement for large agricultural parcel adjacent to <br />a residential subdivision. <br /> – <br />The Chair said this item will be on the next month’s agenda and the <br />Election of Officers <br />Commission should be considering possible candidates. <br />Planning Commission Rules – Mr. Gonzalez thanked the staff for preparing the revisions to the <br />rules of the Leeward and Windward Planning Commissions as required by the Charter <br />amendment, noting the intent is to hold hearings before the end of the year. <br />th <br /> - S <br />ANNOUNCEMENTStaff announced the next meeting is scheduled for November 6. <br />3 <br /> <br />
