Thelma. Parker Memorial Llhritry <br />Join the 2023 Cherry Blossom Festival Tiny Art <br />Show at Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library! <br />Meet local artists and create your own tiny <br />masterpiece, which will be displayed in the Library <br />through the end of February. All materials are <br />provided. <br />Thelma Parker Memorial Library first opened its <br />doors in Waimea in 1951 on Land that was donated <br />to the County of Hawai' i by the world-famous <br />Parker Ranch and its owner, Richard Smart. Smart <br />named the library after his mother. In 1978, the <br />State of Hawai' i opened a new and Larger Thelma <br />Parker Memorial Public and School Library <br />(TPMPSL) near its original location and the library <br />continues to serve patrons --residents and <br />visitors --from a wide geographic area.
