Director Yuen said he <br />is concerned because typically a school has to have a fire protection measure, and he would like <br />to work on the specific wording <br />Commissioner Alameda remarked that he didn’t have any problems with this application, and <br />suggested a 5-minute recess. The Chair agreed on a recess, so that Director Yuen can finish up <br />his revision. <br />RECESSED The Chair called a recess at 11:25 a.m. <br />RECONVENED The meeting reconvened at 11:35 a.m. <br />Mr. Darrow at this time presented revised Condition No. 7 as follows: The applicant shall <br />provide fire protection measures appropriate for the school use, meeting with the approval of the <br />Fire Department. Mr. Mooers stated that the applicant has no problem with the revised wording. <br />It was moved by Commissioner Watanabe and seconded by Commissioner Siracusa that the <br />application be approved as recommended by the Planning Director, including revised Condition <br />No. 7. A roll call vote was taken and motion carried with eight ayes (Watanabe, Siracusa, <br />Alameda, Domingo, Ogata, Rho, Woodward and Graham) and one absent and excused <br />(Iwashita). <br />REZ 470 The Commission took this item up at 11:38 a.m. with <br />KONA VISTAS LLC approximately 11 people from the public in attendance. <br />STND <br />HOLUALOA 1 AND 2, <br />NORTH KONA <br />APPLICANT: KONA VISTAS LLC (REZ 470) <br />Request for amendment to Condition I (time to secure Final Plan Approval) of Ordinance No. <br />02 131, which reclassified certain lands from Unplanned (U) to a Multiple-Family Residential <br />5,000- square foot (RM-5) and a Single-Family Residential 15,000-square foot (RS-15) district. <br />The property includes the existing Kona Vistas Subdivision situated mauka of Kuakini Highway <br />stnd, <br />(Highway 11), Holualoa 1 and 2North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-6-21:4, 9-13 and 15-17. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT B) <br />RECESSED The Chair called a recess at 12:10 p.m. <br />RECONVENED The meeting reconvened at 1:50 p.m. <br />AMEND CHAPTER 25 The Commission took this item up at 1:50 p.m. with 6 people <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR from the public in attendance. <br />NONSIGNIFICANT <br />ZONING CHANGES <br />3 <br /> <br />
