Hawaii Police Commission Meeting Agenda January 20, 2023 Page 2 EXECUTIVE SESSION (CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC) The commission will meet in executive session to consider charges against the officers or employees of the police department, where matters affecting privacy will be involved; to consider sensitive matters related to public safety, and may consult with the board's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a)(2)(4)(6) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b). CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF COMPLAINTS (Briefly summarized) • HPC 22-49: The complainant alleges that an employee has divulged confidential information. • HPC 22-51: The complainant alleges dereliction of duty, stating officers refuse to issue citations for parking violations and illegal vendors. • HPC 23-01: Complainant alleges violation of privacy rights. • Review of complaints in the non-acceptance category.
