RECESSED The Chair called a short recess at 2:48 p.m. and Commissioner <br /> Siracusa left the meeting at this time. <br />RECONVENED The meeting reconvened at 3:05 p.m. <br />SLU 07-000013 AND The Commission took this item up at 3:05 p.m. with <br />REZ 07-000059 approximately 40 people from the public in attendance. <br />HAWAII ISLAND <br />COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION/ <br />HAWAIIAN RAINBOWS <br />BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, LLC <br />KAHUA AND MAKAHANALOA, <br />SOUTH HILO <br />APPLICANTS: HAWAII ISLAND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION/HAWAIIAN RAINBOWS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, LLC <br />(SLU 07-000013/REZ 07-000059) <br />a.State Land Use Boundary amendment from the Agricultural to the Urban District for <br />6.718 acres. <br />b.Change of Zone from Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a) to Single-Family Residential 7,500 <br />square feet (RS-7.5 – 6.718 acres), Agricultural 10-acre (A-10a – 118.36 acres) and <br />Agricultural 5-acre (A-5a – 14.46 acres) for 139.748 acres of land. <br />The proposed RS-7.5 and A-5a areas are located along the east (makai) side of the Old <br />Mamalahoa Highway in the vicinity of the Kulaimano Heights Subdivision, Unit V and <br />the proposed A-10a area is located along the east (makai) side of the Old Railroad Right- <br />of-Way, Kahua and Makahanaloa, South Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-8-8:111, 143 through <br />147. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT D) <br />MINUTES At 5:57 p.m, the Commission took up the following minutes: <br />March 2, 2007 – It was moved by Commissioner Domingo and seconded by Commissioner <br />Watanabe that the minutes be approved as circulated.
