Mr. Hayashi oriented the Commission and public of the subject and surrounding <br />properties on the location map and site plan, summarized the request, and noted the <br />Planning Director recommended approval of the application with conditions. <br />The applicantÓs representative, Gregory Mooers, stated he did receive the Planning <br />DepartmentÓs Background Report and Recommendation and concurred with the <br />statements and proposed conditions. <br />Lunakanawai Hauanio presented his verbal testimony at this time (SEE EXHIBIT A). <br />As there was no further testimony offered, it was moved by Commi <br />seconded by Commissioner McCall that the public hearing be closed. Motion was <br />unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br />Regarding the State Land Use Boundary Amendment application, it <br />Commissioner Kubota and seconded by Commissioner McCall to forward a favorable <br />recommendation to the County Council based on and incorporating the Planning <br />DirectorÓs recommendation. A roll call vote was taken and motion carried with seven <br />ayes (Kubota, McCall, Mina, Smith, Thibadeau, Graham and Springer) and two absent <br />and excused (Fujikawa and Galdones). <br />Regarding the Change of Zone application, it was moved by Commissioner Kubota and <br />seconded by Commissioner McCall to forward a favorable recommendation to the <br />County Council based on and incorporating the Planning DirectorÓs recommendation. A <br />roll call vote was taken and motion carried with seven ayes (Kubota, McCall, Mina, <br />Smith, Thibadeau, Graham and Springer) and two absent and excused (Fujikawa and <br />Galdones). <br />REZ 03-019The Commission took this item up at 9:36 a.m. with <br />TAYLOR M. EASLEYapproximately 38 people from the public in atendance. <br />KALOKO, <br />NORTH KONA <br />APPLICANT: TAYLOR M. EASLEY (REZ 03-019) <br />Change of Zone for 21.121 acres from the Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a) to the <br />Agricultural 10-acre (A-10a) district. The property is located along the west side of <br />Haleamau Street, approximately 1,000 feet from the Haleamau Street Î Kaloko Drive <br />intersection, Kaloko Mauka Subdivision, Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-3-26:16. <br />Mr. Hayashi oriented the Commission and public of the subject and surrounding <br />properties on the location map and site plan, summarized the request, and noted the <br />Planning Director recommended approval of the application with conditions, with an <br />amendment to Condition E. He corrected the background report to state that the <br />elevation of the property is 3,700 feet instead of 2,500 feet and that a portion of the <br />property has been cleared. <br />2 <br /> <br />
