The property is located along the south side of Sarona Road and across <br />st <br />from Kuakini Tower, Honuaula 1, Kailua-Kona, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-5-7:9. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT D) <br />REZ 03-010/The Commission took this item up at 6:41 p.m. with <br />SMA 03-005approximately 6 people from the public in attendance. <br />CLIFTOÓS KONA <br />COAST, LLC <br />ND <br />OOMA 2, <br />NORTH KONA <br />APPLICANT: CLIFTO'S KONA COAST, LLC (REZ 03-010/SMA 03-005) <br />a)Change of Zone from General Industrial 3-acre (MG-3a) to Project District for 83 acres <br />of land. <br />b)Special Management Area Use Permit to allow the development of <br />residential complex consisting of offices, retail uses, multi-family housing, facilities for <br />transient accommodations, and related improvements. <br />The property is located along the west (makai) side of Queen Kaahumanu Highway (State <br />Highway 19), approximately 2,100 feet south of the Queen Kaahumanu Highway Î NELHA <br />nd <br />Access Road, Ooma 2, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-3-9:22. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT E) <br />MINUTESAt 7:15 p.m., the commission took up the following: <br />July 3, 2003 Î The Commission deferred approval of the minutes t <br />ADMINISTRATIVE At 7:16 p.m., the Commission took up the following <br />MATTERunder Administrative Matters: <br />Appeal of Anthony Ako AnjoÓs appeal on the Vipassana Meditation Center - Mr. Torigoe noted <br />that the Intermediate Court of Appeals affirmed the Circuit CourtÓs denial of as Mr. Anjo did not <br />follow the proper intervention procedures to participate in a contested case. <br />Planning Commission Attorney - Mr. Torigoe said the Office of Corporation Counsel <br />periodically rotates assignments and he regretably informs the Commission that after today he <br />will no longer be servicing the Planning Commission. He thanked the Commission for their <br />professionalism and the courtesy extended to him. His parting words to the Commission were to <br />base their decisions on what is only on the record and not by a CommissionerÓs personal <br />comments or inquiries; to adhere to the Sunshine Law, and to please extend to Ms. OÓToole the <br />same courtesy and kindness that the Commission has shown him, noting Ms. OÓToole is very <br />3 <br /> <br />
