Hawaii Police Commission <br />Regular Session Minutes <br />February 17, 2023 <br />Page 13 <br />Motion to reconvene open session made by Commissioner Robinson, seconded by <br />Commissioner Springer, and it carried unanimously. Regular session reconvened at 12:21 <br />p. M. <br />ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS <br />• Investigation of Complaints <br />➢ HPC 23-02: Complainant alleges the officer was unprofessional and used <br />offensive language. Vice Chair Toci motioned that there was insufficient <br />evidence to prove the complainant's allegation. Seconded by Commissioner <br />Springer, no discussion, and it carried unanimously. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Chair Brown announced the next regular meeting is scheduled for March 17, 2023, at 9:00 <br />a.m., in Kona. He stated it will be his last meeting, as well as Commissioner Springer's. <br />Their replacements are in the works. <br />Commissioner Springer suggested asking the chief if he has any plans to appoint a deputy <br />and to agendize it for next month's meeting. Chair Brown agreed and stated Vice Chair <br />Toci will be attending a First Responder training next week and will provide the <br />commission with a short presentation at the next meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting adjourned at 12:25 p.m. <br />SUBMITTED BY: CHARISSE CORREA, SECRETARY <br />APPROVED BY: THOMAS BROWN, CHAIR <br />
