IWASHITA: I think you mentioned that the road was paved in the past. Did I hear that <br />correctly? <br />LEWIS: To the first intersection, yes. <br />IWASHITA: So how many feet is that? <br />LEWIS: IÓd say 400 or 500 feet, to the first intersection. <br />IWASHITA: So thatÓs like one -. <br />LEWIS: I donÓt know if you have a map but -. <br /> <br />IWASHITA: Is that like ¼ of the way to this property? <br /> <br />LEWIS: No. It would be less than 20 percent of the way. <br /> <br />IWASHTIA: Okay. <br /> <br />LEWIS: I mean we have, we only have a, thereÓs less than a hundred people in the <br />farm lots that take care of five miles of road; and probably half of the lots are being lived on. So <br />itÓs a significant expense for us to try to keep the roads up; and, you know, when youÓre going to <br />bring in another business with -. <br /> <br />IWASHITA: You have, your rules require the owners to all contribute towards <br />maintaining this road? Your rules require the owners to contribute money towards maintaining <br />the road now, correct? <br /> <br />LEWIS: Yes. <br /> <br />IWASHITA: Okay. So your concern as I understand it is that this use is going to <br />increase the cost of maintaining the road? <br /> <br />LEWIS: Correct. <br /> <br />IWASHITA: Okay, thank you. <br /> <br />WOODWARD: Commissioner Domingo. <br /> <br />DOMINGO: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. To an extent is the road being used right now? <br /> <br />LEWIS: Basically right now weÓre a residential area and the businesses, the farms <br />are on the paved section of the road.
