b.Action Committee will discuss the Economic Development Report which <br />provides information regarding the sub-committee members, purpose and <br />copy of approved minutes of meetings held. <br />c.Action Committee will discuss the Land Use, Environmental & Cultural <br /> <br />Resources Feb. -11 Action Plan which provides updates on previous <br />motions that have been approved (Enhancement of County GIS system <br />and Criteria for 17-mile Shore Park), the current requests for information <br />made to the Planning Department (Status of Kona Cultural Resources <br />Committee, Progress of Modifications of the County’s GIS system and <br />Status of Kona Trail Inventory), the current discussion items (Analysis and <br />Options of proposed land use changes, CIP Recommendations and <br />Operating Budget Recommendations) and proposes future discussion <br />items (Planning Department to compile information regarding trails, paths <br />and shoreline access and easements, to provide funding for Kona Cultural <br />Resources Committee, Improve GIS system to include cultural and historic <br />sites and information and to prioritize the need for water monitoring of the <br />ocean water). <br />i.Discussion of Open Space Network Plan scope and timing. <br /> <br />d.Action Committee will discuss the Transportation and Public Facilities Feb <br />-11 Action Plan which provides updates on previous motions that have <br />been approved (Enhancement of County GIS system and to Update the <br />Revised Roadway Standards to include Complete Streets), the current <br />requests for information made to the various county departments for <br />updates (Mass Transit Agency Administer, Department of Water Supply, <br />Department of Environmental Management, Planning Department, County <br />Council). project, current discussion items (bicycle and pedestrian <br />recommendations, 10 shared-use path segment construction, CIP <br />Recommendations and Operating Budget Recommendations) and <br />proposes future discussion items (GreenRoads Guidance Manual, <br />potential projects to watch and monitor and potential motions for Action <br />Committee). <br />i. <br />Transportation Projects Update Report. <br /> <br />ii. <br />Facility Projects – Update Report <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Next Meeting March 23, 2011 – Kona Planning Department Conference <br /> <br />Room, WHCC <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Notice: <br />The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard <br />on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Kona Community Development Plan <br />Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and <br />whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written <br />testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would <br />appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to <br />allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. <br /> <br />
