Two separate fires approx. <br />1500 acres each started by lightning. Three dozers brought in to assist with establishing fire <br />breaks. Scene turned over to PTA next morning. <br />Special Operations <br />Haz-Mat <br />• Risk Based Response to Battery Emergencies class completed Feb. 14-16. <br />• Requested funding increase from LEPC for Mini -radiation monitors. Request approved, <br />proceeded with purchase of 15 units. Awaiting delivery. <br />• Various training opportunities being planned: CST, Li -Ion, and Radiation. <br />Ocean Safety <br />• WSO I Recruitment: Interviews completed on Mar 2.
