Dear Mr. chair and members of the leeward planning commission: <br /> I am writing to you on my own behalf as a member of the Kailua Kona community and a parent to three gymnasts at the Kona <br /> Aerials gymnastics facility, to express my support for a special permit number 21-000227, submitted by the Kona Aerials <br /> gymnastics team Inc. Requesting to permit the operation of a youth, gymnastics in sports facility on Hualalai Road in Kailua <br /> Kona. <br /> Kona Aerials gymnastics is a nonprofit organization that served Westway athletes for decades, and is the only gymnastics <br /> training facility in Kona available for our children. Their program offers youth, the opportunity to participate in activities that <br /> advance, her physical and emotional skills, promoting leadership confidence, teamwork, and physical coordination. <br /> More personally, my daughter has sensory processing disorder being a part of the Kona Aerials gymnastics has allowed her a <br /> healthy outlet to satisfy her sensory needs. It has helped our family immensely. It is given her discipline and taught her <br /> coordination that is allowed her to express her needs in a safe manner. she has learned discipline and structure . I am so <br /> incredibly thankful for the work done by Kona Aerials gymnastics and Coach Nanette. I would be heartbroken to see this <br /> facility taken from our community as it provides a wonderful training opportunity for our children. <br /> I ask you to please vote for approval special permit number 21-000227 so that our community can continue to enjoy the mini <br /> benefits of Connor Aerials gymnastics. Not only is this a wonderful program facility, but it is the only program and facility. <br /> Please do not take this away from our children. <br /> Thank you, <br /> b1 . 0 <br />
