VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />Grants — Liz sent out information regarding training using DHS grants that are <br />available. Chief Okinaka stated that HFD are using the SAFER grant to staff 6 new <br />Captains positions and using the AFG grant to purchase extractors for the stations and <br />purchased a new Hazmat ID from Smiths Detection and will be purchasing new gas <br />monitors. <br />VIL OLD BUSINESS — The new ERG handbooks have all been distributed and any extras is <br />being stored at the HFD warehouse. <br />VIIL NEXT MEETING — Date set for May 26, 2021 via zoom. Our zoom meeting was <br />interrupted midway due since we did not purchase the premium plan. We had a <br />discussion of other options such as, using LEPC funds to purchase the premium plan, <br />using one of our members plan to send out the invite, or maybe using the plan from <br />HSERC. <br />IX.
