HI County LEPC Special Meeting Minutes <br />County of Hawaii Civil Defense <br />920 Ululani Street, Hilo, HI <br />June 14, 2019 10:00 am <br />Members Present: Gerald Kosaki, Chair; David Cummings, Hamakua Energy; Jordan Hara, <br />PGV; Andrew Burian, HPD; Jason Black, Civil Defense; Garrett Kim, HFD Hazmat; Newton <br />Inouye, Community Representative; Jarrett Enriquez, BEI; Daimen Hisashima, EMS, Chad <br />Urabe, HFD <br />L Call to Order - Meeting called to order at 9:27am by Chair Gerald Kosaki. <br />IL Budget — An overview of the LEPC budget was identified and discussed <br />IIL LEPC Business — conducting business via email — The Office of Information Practices <br />was consulted on how LEPC business can be conducted if a quorum is not present. <br />IV. New Business <br />HFD request - Continuing Challenge 2019 — September $11,000 <br />Priority to select attendance will be as follows: 1. By rank, 2. Those who did not <br />attend before, and 3. An active member on the HM team. Those attending should <br />not attend the same classes if possible and will teach others upon return at retraining. <br />Those attending should also submit a report to the LEPC and attend LEPC meeting if <br />possible. David Cummings made a motion to approve and Garrett 2nd <br />HFD request — Gasket kit for Chlorine A and B kits - $1,400 Jordan made a motion to <br />approve with a 2nd Newton There was discussion regarding the justification of this <br />purchase. <br />VIIL Next meeting — Will send out a date via email <br />IX. Adjournment - Meeting adjourned at 9:55am. <br />
