This information can also be requested by sending an email to staff planner, <br />Rosalind Newlon at Rosalind.Newlon@hawaiicounty.gov. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Minutes of the meetings of April 25, 2023, May 9, 2023, and May 23, 2023. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />Members of the public may provide public testimony regarding any agenda item now or at <br />the time the agenda item is called to order. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1. PL-KVD-2023-000037: The applicants, Jonathan Aninag of ProDesign Inc. and Kristopher R. <br />Speegle, building and business owner, are requesting design review for two new non-illuminated <br />wall signs for an existing building located at TMK 7-5-004:049, off Hualalai Road. The new wall <br />signs will read “Allstate”. The Logo and Letters will be 1/4-inch aluminum with White Satin finish <br />with Translucent Sultan Blue Vinyl. Aluminum studs welded to back side for mounting. The <br />maximum letter height is 15-inches, with logo height of 2-feet 1-7/8 -inches and the area of each <br />sign is approximately 19.06 square feet. The elevations of each new wall sign are approximately 10 <br />feet and 18 feet. <br />Applicant: Jonathan Aninag and Kristopher R. Speegle <br />Landowner: Nakoamana Kaialii Ventures, LLC <br />TMK: (3) 7-5-004:049 <br />Location: 75-165A Hualalai Road, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for July 25, 2023. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> Submitting Testimony: A person desiring to submit written testimony shall indicate <br />her/his name; address; and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an <br />organization or individual. If testimony is being submitted on behalf of an organization, <br />documentation showing membership ratification should accompany the testimony. Written <br />testimony may be submitted to the Kailua Village Design Commission by email at <br />planning@hawaiicounty.gov or by mail or in person at the Planning Department office addresses <br />in Kona or Hilo listed below under Board Packet, and is requested by 4:30 p.m., two business <br />days prior to the meeting, to allow for time for review and consideration by the Commissioners. <br />Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County <br />Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai‘i County <br />Code}.
