I would like to say that he was always kind and helpful to my father and to me. I felt that he genuinely cared deeply about issues relating to Native Hawaiians. And I felt embraced, that he embraced our culture and that he was in harmony with our professional positions. He was always available, he was keenly aware, and he took the initiative to offer suggestions and presented opportunities and avenues available for information to us from the general public.
