We have completed our engagement of construction contracts, change orders, and supplemental agreements at the Department of Public Works. The objective was to evaluate if the Department of Public Works (DPW) effectively initiates and manages contracts, change orders, and supplemental agreements to completion promptly and within budget. In response to a draft of this report, management expressed general agreement with our audit results. To improve government accountability and ensure audit recommendations are implemented or resolved, we will continuously monitor the status of recommendations using our remediation tracker.
