25. Archeological/Cultural/Historical Resources: According to previously approved <br /> amendment reports, there were no significant archeological sites or features encountered <br /> prior to and during the development of the heliport and related facilities. Further, in a <br /> letter dated April 11, 2000, the State Historic Preservation Division determined that since <br /> there are no conditions in the existing permit pertaining to historic sites, the time <br /> extension will have "no effect" on historic properties. (Planning Department Exhibit 2 <br /> —DLNR No Effect Letter dated April 11,2000). <br /> 26. Public Access: There is no public coastal or mountain access through the subject <br /> property. <br /> 27. Traffic: According to the applicant, all traffic to the site is low and controlled by <br /> scheduling flights through a reservation system. No additional improvements are needed <br /> for the requested amendment. <br /> PUBLIC SERVICES,UTILITIES AND FACILTIES <br /> 28. Vehicular Access: Access to the project site is provided by Waikoloa Road, a County- <br /> maintained roadway having a pavement width of 22 feet within an 80-foot right-of-way. <br /> 29. Water: Water is provided to the project site by a private water system. <br /> 30. Wastewater: According to the Department of Environmental Management there is no <br /> County sewer system in the area. The existing facility is served by an existing individual <br /> wastewater septic system. Applicant shall follow Hawaii Department of Health (DOH), <br /> and all other applicable federal, state, and county regulations. <br /> 31. Solid Waste: According to the Department of Environmental Management, all <br /> commercial operations may not use transfer stations for disposal. Further, according to <br /> the State Department of Health, all solid waste and hazardous materials generated during <br /> construction must be properly disposed of at DOH-permitted solid waste management <br /> facility. <br /> 32. Other Essential Utilities & Services: All other essential utilities and services, including <br /> wastewater disposal, electricity, fire, and police will continue to be available to the <br /> project site.
