There is already an excess supply of vacant commercial spaces in Waimea., 2) Rezoning prime <br />64-983 Mamalahoa Hwy. agricultural lands (A-5a) to commercial and residential is not in compliance with the Hawaii County General Plan., 4) This <br />development is an example of property speculation that will increase the property taxes of Waimea residents., 5) This <br />proposed development would cause further traffic congestion in this area., 6) This project doesn't conform to the Waimea <br />Town policies ofthe South Kohala Community Development Plan that stipulates preservation of Waimea's sense of <br />place, responsible growth, environmental stewardship, and developing affordable housing. <br />Additional comments: I agree with all of the above comments.
