*Need to bring your own equipment for sports classes <br />Kamana Senior Center & classes will be closed on the followina HOLIDAYS: <br />November 10, 2023 (Veterans Day) <br />November 23, 2023 (Thanksgiving Day) <br />Kamana Class Information <br />AGE: Must be 55 years of age and older to participate. <br />ENROLLMENT: Registration will be closed when the class limit is met. Class size is dependent on room size and student/teacher ratio. If a class <br />has reached its limit of participants, a waitlist is started. When cancellations occur, the waitlist will be called in the order that it is received. Classes <br />must have a minimum of 10 students in order for it to continue. Please register for an Elderly Activities Division Senior Identification card to <br />participate in activities. If you do not have an identification card, please call the ERS office to schedule an apt. ERS Release of Claims/Emergency <br />Information Form must be completed prior to starting activities. <br />LOCATIONS: RR, AB, Room 2, and Patio are rooms located at Kamana Senior Center. If a location is listed and you need assistance with directions, <br />please call the ERS office at #961-8710. <br />FALL REGISTRATION: General public registration will start MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2023 Coy 8:00 AM OR EARLIER (Line to start at 7:45am) at <br />Kamana Senior Center (Patio). See Registration form for more details. Registration will continue through FRIDAY. OCTOBER 13, 2023, at Kamana <br />Senior Center. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER OCTOBER 13. NO REGISTRATION BY TELEPHONE. Register by writing your name, <br />telephone #, email address and classes you are requesting on the class registration sheet. You may register for multiple classes. Payment will be <br />collected when classes begins. If you decide to drop the course before the 2nd class, please call the ERS office at 961-8710 & "no shows" will be <br />removed from the attendance after the 2nd class. Pre -registration for each class will be available prior to the end of the quarter for students <br />currently enrolled in the class. <br />WINTER QTR: Registration begins MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2023 and ends on FRIDAY. JANUARY 19. 2024 with classes beginning on MONDAY, <br />JAN UARY 8.2024. <br />CLASS COSTS: Participants will be required to pay a registration fee per class regardless if it is instructional or non -instructional. The fee will be <br />$10.00 for the entire session whether it's 8, 9, or 10 classes and will be collected at the first and second class. Classes that are 2 hours or more <br />will be $20 per class. The monies will be used to support all programs and ERS activities. No refunds after the second class. Do NOT pay in office. <br />Please pay in class. If paying with cash please bring exact change. If paying by check make checks out to: County Director of Finance. Credit Cards <br />not accepted. <br />ERS SPORTS CLASSES: Cost is $10 for each class per quarter. You may register for multiple sports classes. Pickleball (Friday) is limited to only one <br />time slot. You will need to bring your own equipment for class (racket, paddles, etc.). <br />Sernices and opportunities to participate in Elderly Recreation programs are provided to persons 55 years or older without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability or religion.
