*Need to bring your own equipment for sports classes Kamana Senior Center & classes will be closed on the followina HOLIDAYS: November 10, 2023 (Veterans Day) November 23, 2023 (Thanksgiving Day) Kamana Class Information AGE: Must be 55 years of age and older to participate. ENROLLMENT: Registration will be closed when the class limit is met. Class size is dependent on room size and student/teacher ratio. If a class has reached its limit of participants, a waitlist is started. When cancellations occur, the waitlist will be called in the order that it is received. Classes must have a minimum of 10 students in order for it to continue. Please register for an Elderly Activities Division Senior Identification card to participate in activities. If you do not have an identification card, please call the ERS office to schedule an apt. ERS Release of Claims/Emergency Information Form must be completed prior to starting activities. LOCATIONS: RR, AB, Room 2, and Patio are rooms located at Kamana Senior Center. If a location is listed and you need assistance with directions, please call the ERS office at #961-8710. FALL REGISTRATION: General public registration will start MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2023 Coy 8:00 AM OR EARLIER (Line to start at 7:45am) at Kamana Senior Center (Patio). See Registration form for more details. Registration will continue through FRIDAY. OCTOBER 13, 2023, at Kamana Senior Center. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER OCTOBER 13. NO REGISTRATION BY TELEPHONE. Register by writing your name, telephone #, email address and classes you are requesting on the class registration sheet. You may register for multiple classes. Payment will be collected when classes begins. If you decide to drop the course before the 2nd class, please call the ERS office at 961-8710 & "no shows" will be removed from the attendance after the 2nd class. Pre -registration for each class will be available prior to the end of the quarter for students currently enrolled in the class. WINTER QTR: Registration begins MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2023 and ends on FRIDAY. JANUARY 19. 2024 with classes beginning on MONDAY, JAN UARY 8.2024. CLASS COSTS: Participants will be required to pay a registration fee per class regardless if it is instructional or non -instructional. The fee will be $10.00 for the entire session whether it's 8, 9, or 10 classes and will be collected at the first and second class. Classes that are 2 hours or more will be $20 per class. The monies will be used to support all programs and ERS activities. No refunds after the second class. Do NOT pay in office. Please pay in class. If paying with cash please bring exact change. If paying by check make checks out to: County Director of Finance. Credit Cards not accepted. ERS SPORTS CLASSES: Cost is $10 for each class per quarter. You may register for multiple sports classes. Pickleball (Friday) is limited to only one time slot. You will need to bring your own equipment for class (racket, paddles, etc.). Sernices and opportunities to participate in Elderly Recreation programs are provided to persons 55 years or older without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability or religion.
