Class Information <br />AGE: Must be 55 years of age and older to participate. <br />ENROLLMENT: Registration will be closed when the class limit is met. Class size is dependent on room size and student/teacher ratio. You will <br />need an Elderly Activities Division Senior Identification card to participate in activities. If you do not have an identification card please call the <br />ERS office to schedule an appointment. ERS Release of Claims/Emergency Information Form must be completed prior to starting activities. <br />FALL REGISTRATION: General public registration will start Monday, September 18, 2023 @ 8:00 am at the Kamana Senior Center. Participants <br />may also register on the first day of class. First come, first serve. PLEASE NO REGISTRATION BY TELEPHONE. Register by writing your name, <br />telephone # & email address on the class Registration sheet. Payment will be collected when classes begins. Pre -registration for each class will <br />be available prior to the end of Fall Quarter for students currently enrolled in the class. If you decide to drop the course before the 2nd class, <br />please call the ERS office at 966-5801 & "no shows" will be removed from the attendance after the 2nd class. <br />WINTER QUARTER: Registration will begin Monday, December 18, 2023 with classes beginning on Monday, January 8, 2024. Pre -registration <br />for students currently enrolled in a course will be on the last days of class in the Fall Quarter. No pre -registration by telephone. <br />CLASS COST: Participants will be required to pay a registration fee per class. The fee will be $10.00 for the entire session whether it's 8, 9, or <br />10 classes and will collected at the first and second class. Classes that are 2 hours or more will be $20. The monies will be used to support all <br />ERS programs and activities. No refunds after the second class. Do not pay at the office. Please pay in class. If paying with cash, please bring <br />exact amount. Make checks out to: County Director of Finance. Credit Cards are not accepted. <br />ERS SPORTS CLASSES: Cost is $10 for each class per quarter. <br />Services and opportunities to participate in Elderly Recreation programs are provided to persons 55 years or older without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability or religion. The County of Hawaii does not <br />discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission, or treatment, or employment in its programs or activities. Should you require special needs, please call the ERS Program Director at 961-8710 at least two weeks <br />prior to the course/event.
