subdivision will be accessible from the County Road. No additional improvements to the <br /> subject property are being proposed by the applicant. <br /> 23. Water: The Department of Water Supply (DWS) is currently servicing the one existing <br /> single-family dwelling on the subject property with one 5/8-inch water meter fronting the <br /> parcel. Water is available to support the future proposed 2-lot subdivision. DWS notes <br /> that should this rezoning request be approved, the applicant will be required to submit <br /> construction plans and design calculations prepared by a professional engineer for review <br /> and approval, and to construct all necessary water system improvements required by <br /> DWS prior to the issuance of Final Subdivision Approval. <br /> 24. Fire Prevention: According to the Fire Department, Fire Department access and water <br /> supply shall comply with Chapter 18 of the 2018 Hawai'i State Fire Code and Chapter 26 <br /> of the Hawai'i County Code. <br /> 25. Wastewater: According to the Department of Environmental Management, there is no <br /> municipal sewer system servicing the subject area and the applicant shall follow <br /> Department of Health (DOH) regulations for wastewater disposal. The existing single- <br /> family dwelling on the subject property is currently being serviced by its own individual <br /> wastewater system.DOH, Wastewater Branch, had no comments on the proposal. <br /> 26. Essential Utilities and Services: Electricity, water, and telephone services are available <br /> to the subject property and are currently supporting the existing single-family dwelling. <br /> 27. Public Safety: The subject property is located approximately 2 miles from the nearest <br /> police station on Kapiolani Street and approximately 1.5 miles from the nearest fire <br /> station off Haihai Street. <br /> AGENCIES' COMMENTS <br /> 28.
