I think you’ve done a marvelous job. <br />This is a wonderful plan. And you’ve set up the vision of your community, you’ve <br />defined what the important issues and concerns are. You’ve done a marvelous job. <br />However, I do have a question. I like your Chapter 3.3 Environmental Cultural Concept, <br />and then the action programs; and you identify who has the lead role in each of those <br />actions. <br />Now one of the principles that you state in your plan is to identify historic and cultural <br />sites. And I looked at the Appendix D that says under Historic Sites a) Coordinate with <br />the community residents of North Kohala to identify historical sites and buildings for <br />protection and preservation. Now, but who owns that responsibility? <br />WHITE: All right. I believe the answer to that is that as we progress with <br />the action counsel the subcommittees will evolve out of that because that’s our directive <br />in our plan. <br />HOUSEL: Okay. Have you begun identifying those sites? <br />WHITE: Not officially to my knowledge. <br />HOUSEL: Okay. So the action committee will do that? <br />WHITE: That’s what we intended. <br />HOUSEL: Okay.
