(SPP 08-000061) <br />Special Permit to allow the establishment of seasonal farm worker housing for up to 50 workers <br />on 2 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The area involved is <br />a part of the existing Greenwell Farms located along the makai side of Mamalahoa Highway, <br />approximately 2,500 feet south of the Mamalahoa Highway – Halekii Street intersection, <br />Kealakekua, South Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 8-1-4: Portion of 75. <br />WATANABE: Agenda Item No. 2 is Greenwell Farms, Inc., Special Permit application, <br />SPP 08-000061. Greenwell Farms is requesting a Special Permit to establish a seasonal farm <br />worker housing for up to 50 workers. Good morning, Commissioners. <br />COMMISSIONERS: Good morning. <br />COTTLE: The next permit is a request from Greenwell Farms for a Special Permit to <br />establish seasonal farm worker housing for up to 50 workers on 2 acres of land within a 104.8- <br />acre parcel. The property is located about ½ mile south of Kealakekua, and it’s a fairly large <br />parcel; it extends from Mamalahoa Highway to the future Mamalahoa Highway Bypass.
