interrupt my presentation by bringing the affected consultant that is pertinent to certain <br />issues to come up to testify on those particular items, rather than my giving the total <br />presentation and then calling the different consultants along the way, if you don’t mind. <br />GRAHAM: Is that, so my understanding, Mr. Fuke, is you’d like to make a <br />presentation now and you’d like to incorporate the consultants in your presentation as <br />you go along? <br />FUKE: That’s correct. <br />GRAHAM: Is that all right with the Commission? <br />COMMISSIONERS: Yes. <br />GRAHAM: Go ahead then. Thank you. Be aware that the microphones or, or <br />the speakers are pushed away, aiming away from us because of the feedback issue, so <br />that you might have to speak a little louder than your normal way, just to be heard <br />properly. <br />FUKE: Okay, thank you. Initially I guess I would like to make reference <br />to the staff’s report, the amended, the staff’s findings, their background report, as well as <br />their proposed recommendation and conditions. And from the applicant’s perspective <br />they found them to be acceptable. You know, they addressed almost all of the items that <br />are normally associated with the SMA type of issues, cultural, archaeological, the <br />groundwater, so on and so forth. But since the application was filed there have been, as <br />your staff had indicated, a number of new information that was provided, that were <br />provided rather, you know, to the Department to the Commission. Just to provide some <br />overall background, again, the property was initially zoned back in 1990 and <br />subsequently rezoned, excuse me, amended in 1994. The current Zoning Ordinance <br />approved in 1994 was for 44 acres of land. It allowed for a maximum of 310 units. <br />Although the property has not been developed, as you’re well aware, there were <br />conditions relating to the setting aside or doing certain public type of infrastructure. Two <br />most notably have already been complied with pursuant to that zoning condition. One <br />was having the Alii Parkway set -, two plus or minus, two plus acres I think of land, of <br />this area has already been subdivided and waiting to be conveyed to the County upon its <br />request. <br />DICKLER: Has been, has been conveyed. <br />FUKE: I’m sorry, I stand clarified, it has been conveyed to the County. So <br />that’s one item that has been done. The other item has been the setting aside of about an <br />acre of land for the pump station that’s already operating. The land has not been <br />conveyed to the County but it’s the-. Long-term lease? <br />DICKLER: There’s two separate parcels. There’s two separate parcels.
