ROTH, Mayor of the County of Hawai`i, do <br /> hereby proclaim and declare that a state of emergency exists due to the threat of imminent <br /> disaster on Hawaii Island, effective November 4, 2023, 3',25Pm, Hawai`i standard time and I <br /> •hereby ORDER; <br /> This Emergency Proclamation shall be effective November 4, 2023 and shall terminate in <br /> sixty (60) days unless terminated earlier or extended by a separate proclamation, whichever shall <br /> occur first. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I further adopt and promulgate the following rules which shall <br /> have the full for and effect of law. Violations shall be punishable as a petty misdemeanor. <br /> 1. For the period between 12 a.m. on Sunday,November 5, 2023,through 6 am on, <br /> Tuesday,November 7, 2023, all outdoor burning is banned in the Districts of North Kohala, <br /> South Kohala,North Kona, South Kona and Kau. <br /> 2. For the period between 12 a.m. on Sunday,November 5, 2023,through 6 am on, <br /> Tuesday,November 7, 2023, all outdoor open flames are banned in the Districts of North <br /> Kohala, South Kohala,North Kona, South Kona and Kau. <br /> 3. The Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to extend Rules 1 and 2 in <br /> County parks and facilities for a period up to the duration of this proclamation. <br /> This ORDER is effective at 27Ve%m,this 4th day of November 2023. <br /> These RULES are effective at 12 a.m. (midnight), this 5th day of November 2023. <br /> Mitchell D.
