Using a comprehensive approach to review <br /> .m current needs and to forecast future demand this study will help <br /> 4., <br /> 0. determine the type of transit system and service levels that will be <br /> required to meet Hawaii County's changing needs through 2036. <br /> The Plan integrated strategies for creating a transportation network <br /> designed and operated to enable safe access for all users in Hawaii <br /> County. The Plan also identified key corridors linking rural <br /> communities and establishes performance standards for transit <br /> service. In addition, the Plan included an evaluation of modes, bus <br /> services, station designs, capital infrastructure, and fare structures. <br /> Estimated Cost: $500,000 (fees) <br /> Central Oahu Transportation Study <br /> Various Locations, Oahu, Hawaii <br /> SSFM prepared a study to assess the multi-modal transportation <br /> . . i <br /> needs of the Central Oahu region, identify key transportation system <br /> improvements, strategies, and policies that can improve regional <br /> transportation mobility and access in a sustainable way. The study <br /> developed multi-modal strategies and system improvements that are <br /> technically feasible, financially realistic, sustainable, and meet <br /> regional transportation needs. <br /> Estimated Cost: $499,250 (fees) <br /> . ` <br /> � "- Joint Development for Affordable Rental Housing and Juvenile <br /> ' Services Center/Shelter, Alder Street, Honolulu, Hawaii <br /> q - SSFM provided project conceptualization, intra-agency facilitation, <br /> environmental documentation and community outreach for the <br /> development of the first mixed used project on State owned land <br /> __ - within the City's TOD. The project is proposed to be a 266,000 <br /> - SF/19-Story Mixed Use Development that addressed the <br /> T e;; sy4' 41community's need for affordable rental housing and a facility for <br /> juvenile services and a shelter for children at-risk. This urban high- <br /> -,,-,v• density solution epitomizes the type of development promoted to <br /> support TOD initiatives and transforms underutilized State land <br /> assets into a vibrant development much needed by the community. <br /> Estimated Construction Cost: $196.3 million (preliminary budget) <br /> Puuloa Shoreline Erosion Study, Puuloa Range Facility <br /> Marine Corps Base Hawaii <br /> Kaneohe, Hawaii <br /> SSFM prepared this study to investigate coastal processes in the <br /> project area and the condition and characteristics of the shoreline, <br /> determine historical shoreline changes, analyze wave induced sand <br /> _'` transport mechanisms, and develop possible erosion control <br /> alternatives. <br />
