Overcoming Project Challenges A <br /> o <br /> Carollo played a key role in developing and implementing the 0 <br /> contractor's sequencing and outage plans,collaborating with z <br /> the contractor,owner,and engineer.One of the biggest project <br /> challenges was keeping the existing pump station fully operational D <br /> while the new motor control center,electrical drives,and controls z <br /> were replaced.A complete temporary power system was constructed c <br /> in parallel with the existing system that allowed the new equipment to <br /> be replaced and tested one at a time.In addition to dual HECO power m <br /> feeds,two gas-driven generators were used on independent transfer o <br /> switches to provide redundant power to this critical infrastructure.
