February 5, 2021 <br /> I wrote a referral letter for Thorne Abbott and his company several years ago when he assisted me in <br /> getting an SMA permit for a subdivision in West Maui. Since then, not only has Thorne followed up <br /> several times to make sure things were going ok, but he just assisted me in obtaining my final permits on <br /> the subdivision within a few days of asking for his help. <br /> Even though the assistance I required was truly outside the realm of his expertise,Thorne Abbott <br /> instead chose to figure out how he could use his extensive connections on the islands to get me the <br /> information I needed and ultimately the final sign off from inspectors assigned to my project. I was at a <br /> crossroads in the process and did not know who to turn to during this pandemic while working remotely <br /> off island.
